Web Hosting Companies provide this service to people to make their
websites available on the
Web. Web Host provide limited space on the internet connected server
called web server to the user to save the files. These files become
available on web and are accessed using the
Domain
Name or Sub-Domain. Most of the web hosting companies provide FTP
service to save the files on web server. Almost all web host provide web
interface commonly called Web Hosting Control Panel to customers to
manage their web hosting service.
Up Time:
Up Time is the percentage of the time, the web server was accessible.
Service Level Agreement:
As web server is just another computer connected to the internet. Some
web hosting companies provide guarantee that their web server UP Time
will be more than or equal to the specified percentage.
Scope of Service:
Every web hosting plan has their own scope. Some plans provide database
management system (DBMS), service side scripting (i.e ASP.NET, PHP, JSP)
while others don't provide these services.
